personal opinion post

sometimes i feel that certain fat-centric tumblrs (usually more fashion oriented ones) play fast and loose with the definition of fat. i understand people have the right to self-identify, but isn’t it someone’s job as a curator to establish some standards?

like, if i’m having a bad day and want to see images exclusively of well-dressed fatties, don’t i have the right to be able to look at a tumblr that implies that’s it’s about fa(t)shionable folks and see… actually fat people?

i mean, i’ve mixed all of my fashion blogs together in google reader, so it’s not about wanting to avoid straight size fashion inspiration - but if i’m wanting to see clothes on bodies like mine (fat ones, yeah), what do i do?
